Assembly is
AA packs are assembled with a professional dual pulse digitally controlled pneumatic head tab welding station using pure nickel strips with a min 2 welds per connection for AA sized cells. The professional welding station provides the ultimate in strong low resistance connections. Connections between cells are with pure nickel strips sized appropriately for the battery pack.
AAA packs are assembled with a professional RF power digital heat controlled solder station. Connections are made with 100% copper flexible braid. Soldering process is used instead of welding due to the small contact area button design on the Eneloop AAA cell.
- Panasonic Eneloop cells are ultra low discharge nickel metal hydride technology.
- According to Panasonic they retain 70% of their charge capacity even after 5 years based on testing method established by IEC 61951-2 (7.3.2) when stored at 20 °C.
- Cells can also be recharged up to 2100 times based on testing method established by IEC 61951-2 (7.5.1.3).
